Police excludes Municipality of Amed with barriers
Amed (DİHA) -Municipality building of Amed were excluded with iron barriers after municipal employees began to withstanding against detentions. A clash between police and municipal employees who protest against occupation of town hall had occurred this morning.
After Democratic Regions Party (DBP) co-mayors Gültan Kışanak and Fırat Anlı detained yesterday evening, police excluded to town hall when they completed to searching building . Building was surrounded with armored vehicles and riot police. Municipal employees started to gather early morning. Police warned to intervene in gathered employees if they don't back to work. Then employees " We will not enter to building until our lawyers come. You searched the building unlawfully. We will not enter without keep minutes." reacted to police forces. Employees "Repressions can not intimidate us" chanted when police persist to disperse them. After discussing police let some authorized get in building for estimate the damage.
Hundreds citizens also took part on demonstration with employees.Employees also tied traffic up for a while to protesting the clash.Drivers and citizens cooperated with employees during tied the traffic up.Employees and citizens are still waiting in front of building.
By the way DBP co-mayors Gültan Kışanak and Fırat Anlı had won local election with landslide victory in 2014.
