The crops dry in the field in arid climate Amik Plain
Nearly 10 thousand farmers cultivating wheat, corn, cotton in Amik Plain in southern province Hatay, are miserable because of the drought which occurred after the authorities transferred water from Amik Lake to Asi River to stretch the plain. The chairman of Hatay Chamber of Agriculture Celal Civelek, warned that if the necessary precautions were not taken the economy of the region would get affected seriously.

Corn producers from Cokurova demand the floor price to be 0.45 YTL
Stating that the producers of Cokurova lost money as a result of the wrong policies of the government, the Seyhan Chamber of Agriculture called the government not to make the same mistake they did with the prices of wheat in corn prices. The chairman of the chamber Süleyman Girmen said that there are 1 million 200 thousand square meters of corn fields and demanded the floor price of corn to be 0.45 YTL.

Değirmendere villagers filter salt at the slopes of a mountain!
Residents in Değirtmendere, Kozluk, Batman, earn their bread by producing salt from salt water coming out of the mounatin across the village; in the 50 pools into which salt water flow the salt is produced after the salty liquid has evaporated and there left salt back. Then, they start filtering the salt arrives at about 20 to 24 tons of salt in production.
