he Fifth Kurdish Film Days festival organised by the Students Union of Kurdistan (YXK) began in Cologne with a showing of "The Beekeeper" a documentary film directed by Mano Khalil, from Rojava, who lives in Switzerland.

Village square turns into theatre scene
The Fifth Batman Theatre Days Festival organised by the Batman Municipality is continuing. Thanks to this year's festival, organised under the slogan 'Theatre is Life, Let us liberate life', theatre is being taken to the villages for the first time. The play 'Kımıl' was watched by an appreciative audience in the village of Zilan in the Kozluk district of Batman province.

Öz: I listened to my hear

Exhibition by artist Oruçoğlu opens in Diyarbakır
An exhibition of the work of writer and artist Muzaffer Oruçoğlu is to open at the Municipal Gallery in Amed (Diyarbakır) on 4 April 2014. Oruçoğlu, who has had more than 50 exhibitions all over the world, is better known in Turkey as a writer.

Kurdish film director protests against France
Kurdish film director Kazım Öz protested at the French government's attitude regarding the murders in Paris last year of Sakine Cansız, Fidan Doğan and Leyla Şaylemez by refusing to accept an award at this year's 36th Cinéma du Réel Film Festival awards ceremony on Saturday. Öz's film "He Bû Tune Bû" (Once Upon a Time) was one of 11 documentaries deemed worthy of an award amongst 40 films shown.

More attempts to destroy Arabic heritage of Ahwaz!
On Monday 17th March, the Ahwazi human rights activists have been informed by the local Ahwazi sources inside Ahwaz that the Iran occupied forces bulldozed and demolished one of the most important Arabic historical monuments known by the name of “Saray Ajam” in Ahwaz capital as an aim to eradicate the historical heritage of Ahwazi Arab people. This is not the first time that the Iranian forces target the historical buildings in Ahwaz.
