Snow hampered sale of sacrificial animals in Yüksekova
HAKKARİ (DİHA) - It was reported that the sale of sheep, goat and cattle brought to the animal market in Yüksekova, Hakkari for the sacrifice festival has decreased due to the intense snow.
Intense snow fouled livestock breeders in Yüksekova. Salespeople who had to reduce the prices when sales were not what they expected as people did not come to the market because of the snow, said that it would be really hard for them to take them back to their hometown because of hard transportation conditions. The snow not allowing satisfactory sale, they said that they had to reduce the prices almost to the half of the prices that ranged between 300 and 2000 YTL, and that they were selling at a loss.
