Academics Ersoy and Mungan greeted by their students
İSTANBUL (DİHA) - Arrested for signing the peace declaration “We will not be a party to this crime” and released in the previous days, academics Kıvanç Ersoy and Esra Mungan have came together with their students.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kıvanç Ersoy who has been released in the previous days, enthusiastically welcomed in Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University (MSGSU) Bomonti campus where he works, by academics and students unfurling banners “Welcome Kıvanç, peace will win”, “We are steeping this tea in honour of professor Kıvanç”, “Release is not enough, we want acquittal”, “Academy does not obey”. Ersoy fulfilled his longing hugging his friends and students.
Assist. Prof. Dr. Esra Mungan has also came together with her students in Boğaziçi University where she works, for the first time after release. She has been warmly greeted by her students at the North campus. Organizing event, her students have had conversation with Mungan. Mungan shared her memories of prison.
