Books belonging to Aram Publishing House confiscated
DİYARBAKIR (DİHA) - 69 packages of books belonging to Aram Publishing House which will attend 21st İzmir Book Fair held by TÜYAP have been confiscated by the police.
69 packages of books belonging to Aram Publishing House which will attend 21st Book Fair held by TÜYAP in İzmir, opening on April 16, have been confiscated by the police.
Transporting book packages to İzmir from Diyarbakır, cargo car was halted during a traffic control in Mucur district of Kırşehir by reason of “smuggling weapons”.
Although it was the book packages in the car, 69 packages of books have been confiscated.
8 packages of books taken to Çuğun Gendarmerie Station were given back after the investigation while it is stated that the other books in 61 packages could be given back after
the investigation. Lawyers of the publishing house turned to prosecution for the books to be given back as immediate as possible to reach booklovers due to the fair opens tomorrow.
