ŞIRNAK (DİHA) - Four slain civilians whose bodies were abducted by police from Şırnak State Hospital, have been buried in Cizre without their families.

Bodies of civilians killed by state forces in Şırnak, Silopi and Cizre are being held under unfavorable circumstances in hospital morgues, houses and mosques. As the bodies of slain civilians continue to suffer a growing torture every day, Institution of Forensic Medicine amended the Regulation of Burial earlier this week in a way to enable state institutions seize the corpses and bury them in the event that they are not reclaimed by the family within three days.

Within the scope of this latest amendment, families of civilians killed in Kurdish towns were submitted a notice which said “Get your corpses within three days otherwise we will bury them”. Yet families haven't been enabled to do so.

Upon receiving the notice, families of Taybet İnan, Yusuf İnan, Aziz Yural, Çetin Taşar, Fatma Uyar, Sêvê Demir, Pakize Nayır, Nidar Sümer, Halis Sümer and Lütfü Aksoy went to Şırnak State Hospital yesterday afternoon to get the bodies of their relatives.

While the bodies were handed over to families 4 hours later, Şırnak Governor's Office denied permission for the delivery of the bodies, upon which state forces once again seized the bodies.

Bodies of 8 slain civilians were later taken from the morgue and taken to a cold storage depot arranged by Şırnak Municipality. Bodies of 7 more civilians remained in Şırnak State Hospital.

Yesterday, police seized bodies of 4 people from the hospital's morgue and took them to Cizre. Doğan İşçi, Ferdi Kalkan, Abdulmecit Yanık and Hacı Özdal were buried in Asri Cemetery. Families weren't present at the funeral due to the ongoing siege and abduction of bodies, about which they learned only after a call from governor's office which said "We will bury your dead. One of you can come for burial".
