Civilian missing in Silopi for 4 days found tortured to death
ŞIRNAK (DİHA) - A body taken to Şırnak State Hospital's morgue yesterday has been identified as 55-year-old civilian İsmail Yevşan who had been missing in Silopi for the last 4 days.
İsmail Yevşan, father of four, who lives in Nuh neighborhood of Şırnak's Silopi district was reportedly killed yesterday. His body was later taken to Şırnak State Hospital's morgue where an overcapacity problem continues causing further violations every day.
A photo purportedly shared by a policeman on social media shows Yevşan tortured and shot by a bullet in the head, and with a rope around his neck. Soldiers and policemen are seen near his dead body on a street.
Reports say that Yevşan's body was found on 58th Street of Nur neighborhood, where 57-year-old Teybet İnan had been murdered by police forces last week. The woman's body had remained at the scene for one week due to continued gunfire and attacks by state forces.
