Tank strikes on houses in Cizre: One youth massacred
ŞIRNAK (DİHA) - Unable to enter the areas of self-rule, state forces in Cizre continued artillery strikes on neighborhoods throughout last night.
As the state of siege continues in Şırnak's Cizre district in its 11th day, attacks targeting the neighborhoods have intensified but still couldn't make the people leave the resistance on streets.
Some civilian houses in Cudi neighborhood were shelled and targeted by heavy arms after a drone exploration late yesterday evening.
While tank strikes and artillery attacks intensified in Cudi, Nur, Yafes and Sur neighborhoods till this morning, last night's aggression left many houses demolished and many others on fire. Fire squads were not allowed access to the area for intervention.
A cannon shell fired by state forces hit a house in Cudi neighborhood, leaving 20-year-old Ferdi Kalkan dead late Wednesday evening. People around managed to take Kalkan's body to Cizre State Hospital after carrying him to a ambulance on Nusaybin Street.
Tanks deployed on hills overlooking the town continue conducting intense strikes against the neighborhoods where people's self-rule resistance is going on.
