QSD launches strategic offensive in southern Kobanê

KOBANÊ (DİHA) - Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF or QSD) General Command General Command has launched an offensive in the southern countryside of Kobanê town after the accomplished operation in the southern countryside of Hesekê.

The press release announcing the start of the second offensive was read by QSD Spokesman Talal Ali Sülo who said; "QSD forces comprise all free societies of Syria and has been established to attain unity, end the present situation, protect the peoples of Syria against terror and atrocity, and for the liberation of Syria .Our only objective is to ensure the building of a democratic and pluralist Syria, and granting of all peoples and communities with justice, freedom, all their rights, identities and ideas. Syria is witnessing very significant developments in this current process when international and regional powers are intervening Syrian lands. In the face of all these happenings, we as QSD forces are continuing our struggle for justice and freedom of Syria against terror.

We had previously promised our people to liberate Syrian lands from terror, and to keep our struggle going on the basis of our communal and women's libertarian course after a major accomplishment in the southern countryside of Hesekê. Today we announce that our military offensives are going on with the objective of clearing the lands of Syria of gang groups.”

The forces taking part in the offensive are;

Jays Al-Siwar (Artêşa Şoreşgeran), Yekîneyên Parastina Gel (YPG), Yekîneyên Parastina Jin (YPJ), Lîwa El-Tehrîr, Tabûrên Şems Al-Shamal, Meclîsa Leşkerî ya Suryanî, Kombûna Tugayên Cizîrê and Kombûna Tabûrên Firat-Cerablusê.

QSD Spokesman said the offensive will continue until the entire ISIS-occupied region in Kobanê's southern countryside is rendered safe, and called upon all the people in southern Kobanê and Syria to assist QSD forces in order for their own liberation from the atrocity of ISIS gangs.
