8 jailed in Ankara
ANKARA (DİHA) - AKP government is continuing its operations of political genocide across Turkey and North Kurdistan.
A person by the name of Vedat Bağ, who was wounded in Rojava and got paralysed from the waist down, was remanded in custody by a court he had been referred to on charges of “membership to a terrorist organization”.
Out of 13 people who had been detained on Sakarya Avenue during a protest demo condemning the murder of Günay Özarslan during a house raid in Bağcılar district of Istanbul, seven were released after giving their statements to the anti-terror branch of police headquarters, while the other six were remanded in custody on charges of “membership to a terrorist organization”.
Of the two youths detained in recent police operations in Yeni Mahalle (Neighborhood), one was released after giving his statement to the anti-terror branch of police headquarters, and the other, Mehmet Azad Yıldız (18), was remanded in custody for allegedly being the “head of YDG-H in Ankara”.
11 more people referred to the prosecution office
In the meantime, 11 other people who were detained on charges of membership to YDG-H (Movement of Patriotic Revolutionary Youth) have been referred to the prosecution office.
