Explosion in Kobanê concurrent with one in Suruç
KOBANÊ (DİHA) - Soon after the bombing of a culture center in Suruç, Turkey, another bomb has exploded in the city of Kobanê in Rojava.
Sources report a bomb attack in the city of Kobanê, in the Rojava autonomous region of Syria. Daesh members were attempting to attack the Mihemed Dira School, in the southern part of Kobanê, with a bomb-laden vehicle. YPG/YPJ forces disabled the vehicle, leading to an explosion.
The attempted massacre comes on the heels of another bombing in the nearby city of Suruç, Turkey. The town of Suruç, Turkey (Northern Kurdistan) is located in Urfa province, just across the border from the city of Kobanê in Rojava (Western Kurdistan). Earlier today, more than 50 were killed in a bombing on the Amara Culture Center in Suruç. Members of the Federation of Socialist Youth Associations were in the process of giving a press conference announcing that they were planning to cross the border into Kobanê.
