Five Kurdish politicians arrested
AĞRI (DİHA) - Out of 6 Kurdish politicians who had been detained as a result of house raids by military and police forces in Doğubeyazıt district of Ağrı, 5 have been remanded in custody.
Six members of TUHAYD-DER, DTK and HDP who had been detained in simultaneous house raids in Doğubeyazıt and its villages two days ago were referred to a court yesterday. Among the six who gave their testimonies till late hours in the night, one was released, while TUHAYD-DER Doğubayazıt representative Mehmet Bozkurt, DTK delegate Ziya Özbay, BDP Doğubayazıt district former co-chair Cemil Rızağulları, as well as İbrahim Bobilik and Baran Çağlı were remanded in custody and sent to Ağrı M Type Closed Prison for allegedly “being member of a terrorist organization” and “spreading propaganda for a terrorist organization”.
