Operations of YPG/YPJ ongoing
NEWS DESK (DİHA) - YPG Press Office has reported that large numbers of gang members were killed in the ongoing operations against the ISIS gangs in the southern parts of Kobanê while large amount of ammunition, including rockets were seized.
YPG stated that forces of the YPG/YPJ (People's/Women's Defense Units) liberated the village of Dalî Hesen to the south of Kobanê and the strategically important foothills surrounding the village in an operation that was carried out last night. YPG said the number of the gangs’ casualties could not be verified, while the corpses of 3 gang members as well as a large amount of ammunition, including rockets and other heavy weaponry were seized.
YPG further reported that the resistance forces carried out an operation on the gang groups stationed in Zerik village to the south of Kobanê and in the surrounding area. 3 ISIS gang members were seized dead with their ammunition, added the YPG.
Regarding the ongoing operation Commander Rubar Qamislo, YPG said the YPG/YPJ forces both from Kobanê and Cizîr cantons continue the operation in its 58th day in the surroundings of Ayn Îsa and added that 3 important points in the area were cleansed of the gangs in the attacks launched last night, while the number of the casualties of the gang groups could not be verified.
