2 more villages liberated, many gang members killed
NEWS DESK (DİHA) - YPG Press Office has reported that two more villages were liberated, while large numbers of gang members were killed in the operations in Rojava.
The statement said the operation YPG/YPJ forces have launched in the southern parts of Kobanê continues, and the YPG/YPJ forces targeted Mirawih and Mexrevîn foothills last night in the scope of the operation.
Both areas have been liberated, reported the YPG adding that 14 ISIS gang members were killed in the operations, while 9 others were wounded. YPG said corpses of 8 gang members were seized by the resistance forces in addition to a large amount of ammunition and weapons.
YPG further reported that the operation of the YPG/YPJ forces in the area of Mezra Sofî continues and 1 gang member hiding in the area was seized dead with his ammunition.
The operation Commander Rubar Qamislo continues in its 57th day with the offensives that YPG/YPJ forces both from Kobanê and Cizîr cantons carry out around Ayn Isa, reported the YPG.
In the scope of those operations, YPG/YPJ forces carried out an action in the area nearby Mişêrfa village located at the intersection of Raqqa, Girê Spî and Kobanê roads and liberated two villages to the west and southwest of Mişêrfa last night, according to the statement of the YPG, which also stated that the number of casualties of the gang groups could not be verified.
The statement lastly reported that YPG/YPJ forces launched an operation against the gang groups stationed on Hesekê-Şeddadê road, saying that fierce clashes took place in the area between the gangs and the resistance forces. While the number of casualties of the gangs could not be verified, 1 YPG/YPJ fighter fell in the clashes, added the YPG.
