NEWS CENTER (DİHA) - The Co-Presidency of the PYD reacted to a probable military intervention by Turkey, and urged Turkish authorities to give an end to provocative politics.

The Co-Presidency of the PYD (Democratic Union Party) released a statement regarding the Turkish state's threats on a military intervention in Rojava and Syria. Reacting to a probable military intervention by Turkey, PYD called on international powers to not to allow an outside intervention. Urging Turkish authorities to give an end to provocative politics, PYD gave the message “Wherever attacks may come from, we are ready”.

'Neighboring states have no right to intervention'

Pointing out that the Turkish army has deployed units near the Syrian border following the threats of the Turkish government officials, PYD Co-Presidency underlined that; "As a political part of the Democratic Autonomous Administration, we are acting in line with international laws and treaties, and treating the neighbourliness between states with respect. We have no intention to establish an independent state. What the Turkish Presidents speaks of is not appropriate. We are working as a sample for solution in the Syrian conflict by improving the Democratic Autonomous Administration which is a system to embrace all nations, sects and beliefs. This is an internal issue that concerns the peoples of Syria. The neighboring states have no right to intervention."

Remarking that they had no intention to disturb or trample on the internal order of the neighboring states, PYD said they hoped their neighbors would not be involved in approaches such as an intervention in Syria that would go against UN agreement and shake the values of neighborliness.

PYD said they fought terror in line with international treaties, adding; "Some battle partners of ours are at the same time partners of Turkey. This is why attacks on YPG forces and their allies would serve terrorist groups."

'Intervention in Syria shouldn't be allowed'

PYD said a probable military intervention would have a great impact on both the region and among the states, make the political situation of Syria and the Middle East more complicated, and also overturn international security. "We hope big states, especially the NATO members, America and France will not allow a probable intervention by Turkey on Rojava and any part of Syria", PYD said.

'We are ready to defense'

Remarking that YPG forces and their allies defended Rojava against the dictator regime and gang groups, PYD said; "They have paid great prices to defend the lands of Rojava. Wherever attacks may come from, we are ready for defense."

'Turkish authorities should abandon provocative politics'

The Co-Presidency of the PYD said they wanted to establish a system that will defend the unity of Syria with all its peoples and components, adding; “We want to establish relations with societies on the basis of good relations with the neighboring states. We are a part of the coalition against terror. On this basis, we call on Turkish authorities to abandon provocative politics.”
