Operation initiated by YPG and YPJ in Hesekê
HESEKÊ (DİHA) - Fighters of the YPG/YPJ (People's/Women's Defense Units) launched an operation in Hesekê, as a part of which the neighborhood of Ezîziyê and some villages to the east of the town have been cleansed of ISIS gangs and liberated.
YPG Press Office said that fighters of the Defense Units started an operation aimed at the Ezîziyê neighborhood of Hesekê and villages to the east of the neighborhood last night.
Reporting that the neighborhood was entirely cleansed of the gang groups that remained stranded there, YPG said the villages of Marûf and Hamra to the east of the neighborhood were also liberated within the scope of the same operation, in addition to Mekenit Zîraa, strategic Xezil road junction and factory.
YPG Press Office added that details of the operation will be shared with the public opinion later.
