Cizîr Canton co-presidency condemns attacks on Kobanê
QAMİŞLO (DİHA) - Cizîr Canton Co-Presidency has strongly condemned the attacks on civilians in Kobanê and Hesekê and described the attacks as cowardly.
The Co-Presidency also called on all the peoples of the region to support YPG-YPJ unite against those who trigger conflict among the people. The statement of the canton Co-Presidency offered condolences to the families of those who lost their lives in the attacks.
The statement drew attention to the victory of YPG/YPJ forces in the western parts of the Cizir canton, primarily in Mount Kizwan, Girê Spî and Ayn Îsa. Co-Presidency praised YPG-YPJ forces’ defense of civilians and added that the whole world has witnessed the blows inflicted on ISIS gangs.
The statement recalled the attacks on civilians launched this morning in Hesekê and Kobanê and highlighted that the gangs occupied some parts of Hesekê while launching suicide attacks in Kobanê. Cizir Canton Co-Presidency said the reason for the attacks is the ISIS fear that YPG/YPJ forces would advance towards Raqqa after cleansing the rural areas of the town from the gangs, and therefore to reduce the pressure the gangs suffer at the moment.
Cizîr Canton Co-Presidency strongly called on the peoples of the region to unite against those attacks aiming at triggering conflict among the people, and to give strong support to YPG. The Co-presidency said they would continue building democratic life in the region based on the participation of all the Kurdish, Syriac, Assyrian, Arab and Turkmen people.
