URFA (DİHA) - Three ISIS gang members, who had infiltrated into Kobanê in the early morning hours and attacked civilians, took refuge in the Turkish army after escaping from the encirclement of YPG/YPJ forces.

The 3 gang members escaped to the Etmenek village of Suruç district in Urfa. They took refuge in the Turkish army after they were noticed by the villagers, who followed them in order to capture the gangs. The 3 gang members were armed, but they also had cutleries. The gangs attacked civilians not only by opening fire but also with the knives. A 12-year-old child lost his life in the gangs' attack with cutleries.

In the meantime, the governorate of Urfa issued a statement about the gangs' crossing into Kobanê and attacking civilians which claimed the lives of 12, while left over 50 others wounded. The Governorate alleged that the gangs have crossed into Kobanê from Jarablus; however the bridges between Jarablus and Kobanê were blown up previously and the passage between the two cities is not possible at the moment.

Meanwhile, reports say that the clashes between the YPG/YPJ forces and the gangs intensified in only one part of the town.
