NEWS DESK (DİHA) - KCK (Kurdistan Communities Union) Executive Council Co-presidency said in a written statement about the incidents in Diyarbakır that the attacks were being conducted by the AKP in order for the suppression of the people.

Remarking that the attacks in Diyarbakır (Amed) stand as a declaration of war by the AKP government against the Kurdish people, KCK said what AKP aimed with the attacks was to escalate war and preserve its power.

KCK said these attacks targeted the hope and chance for democratization revealed by the election results, and called on the Kurdish people and democracy forces to be sensitive in the face of planned attacks. KCK stressed that the democratic alliance and democracy struggle must be enhanced to repel these attacks, and that those keen on an oppressive and authoritarian regime mustn't be allowed in Turkey and Kurdistan.

Underlining that the happenings in Amed were intended to eliminate the political results of the election victory of the peoples, KCK recalled that the Turkish state resorted to such methods of dirty war in every period the Kurdish freedom movement started to rise, and that this new attack against Kurdish people in Amed has also been carried out within this framework.

KCK emphasized that neither the Kurdish freedom movement nor Kurdish democratic movement was involved in the Amed incidents which -it described- as attacks aimed at the patriotic Kurdish people.

Commenting the attack on the chairman of an association said to be close to Hüda-Par as a provocation conducted in order to carry out intimidation attacks on the Kurdish people, KCK said; "These attacks have been perpetrated by those who want to eliminate the influence of the Kurdish people's election victory and those who plan the concept of attack and suppression against the Kurdish people.

According to KCK, the realization of this attack in a period that is witnessing the increase of the Kurdish people's political power and influence reveals whom it was perpetrated by.

Comparing the 9 June's massacre attempt in Amed to that of 5 June at the HDP rally, KCK said the intention of these attacks has been revealed by the fact that some forces armed within the knowledge of the state openly terrorized the people and left many patriots dead or wounded under the care of security forces.

Commemorating all the freedom and democracy martyrs targeted in these attacks, KCK offered condolences to their families and the Kurdish people, and vowed to respond to these attacks by building a democratic Turkey and free Kurdistan in memory of the martyrs.

Likening today's incidents to the attacks conducted under the control of JITEM (Gendarmerie Intelligence and Anti-Terror Unit) in the past, KCK said attacks on patriots during the election campaign continued after the election as well, adding; "The remarks of Hüda-Par spokesmen Hüseyin Yılmaz that "they want to create a chaos, security forces aren't fulfilling their duty" is nothing but a demagogy aiming to cover up the truths and to legitimize the assailants. It is known very well that these circles that are directly linked to these attacks are continually voicing these remarks to legitimize the attacks."

KCK stressed that; "Despite it being known that the Kurdish freedom movement will not display any attitude to overshadow the victory achieved in elections, the common sense revealed by it in the face of attacks during the pre-election process has been abused while the movement itself is being instigated and the people are being attacked."

KCK pointed out that the attacks on the Kurdish people weren't independent from deep state forces which -it noted- stood behind these attacks despite them being conducted by counter forces. "The AKP government is also a part of these attacks which are being perpetrated in the care of the state's military and police forces, like in 90's."

The statement also recalled that the Kurdish movement has acted with utmost patience and effort to foil provocations in the face of all the attacks conducted against the Kurdish people during the recent process.

Remarking that the Turkish state and the AKP government, however, pursued a policy of attacks on the Kurdish freedom movement in every period it started to rise, KCK said these attacks by counter forces were encouraged by the state itself, just like what happened during 6-9 October Kobanê protests when youths were arrested for alleged involvement in the murder of 2-3 Hüda-Par members while the perpetrators remained unidentified and unpunished in the murder of over 40 patriots by counter forces, police and fascists.

The courage of the so-called 'Hezbollah' counter forces to attack the people reveal the fact that behind them stand forces of the deep state, KCK said, and noted that the attacks of 9 June were conducted in the presence of police forces and in front of their eyes, just like how the murders in 90's were committed.

Commenting the attacks and incidents in Amed as perpetrated by the AKP government with an aim to suppress the people, KCK said it was the JITEM and gangs organized by deep forces that attacked the people under the name of Hezbollah.

Reminding that the AKP government had wanted to create tension to maintain its power before the elections, KCK said the AKP was now planning to come to power alone by means o such attacks and provocations, arguing that "these people will come to the power if I myself don't."

Describing the attack in Amed as AKP government's declaration of war against the Kurdish people, KCK underlined that AKP aimed to escalate such a conflict in order to preserve its own ruling.

"The public and our people should know that these attacks target the hope and chance for democratization revealed by the election results”, KCK said and called on the Kurdish people and democracy forces to be sensitive in the face of planned attacks. KCK also stressed that the democratic alliance and democracy struggle must be enhanced to repel these attacks, and that those keen on an oppressive and authoritarian regime mustn't be allowed in Turkey and Kurdistan.
