ERZURUM (DİHA) - HDP General Co-chair Selahattin Demirtaş spoke at his party's election rally in eastern province of Erzurum where racist groups attacked at HDP supporters. Demirtaş said Hamdullah Öge, who was murdered by firing squad of counter guerillas as he was driving back home in his HDP (Peoples' Democratic Party) announcement vehicle last night, fell victim to threathening remarks of President Erdoğan and AKP officials. "If Prime Minister and President point us as a target, if they point us as 'traitor', some people are taking it as a duty. Struggle of Hamdullah comrade will not be left half finished. We'll dedicate our victory of June 7th to him."
HDP (Peoples' Democratic Party) General Co-chair Selahattin Demirtaş addressed to tens of thousands of people at his party's election rally in eastern province of Erzurum today. The massive crowds of people danced halays for hours and bore the flags of HDP. Racist groups attacked thousands of HDP supporters who were walking to the area where HDP’s Erzurum rally took place today. Despite the racists’ provocation attempts, tens of thousands filled the rally area.
'We should give a big message to Erdoğan'
A big message should be given to President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan at night of June 7th, said Demirtaş. "We are entering the general election in order to defeat the highest election threshold in the world. This is the most natural right of HDP supporters. But, AKP is evaluating this as a strike or blow on democracy. Can you think? The fascistic threshold is not blow on democracy, but to pass it is blow on democracy. AKP is trying to seize our rights through election tricks and frauds," Demirtaş criticized the AKP fiercely.
'Vote is honour, we won't let you steal'
HDP co-chair put importance on the election day, "Everybody must go to the polls at any price. Each of the votes has a crucial importance. Only one vote can change the fate of our country. We are required to claim and protect the ballot boxes. Vote is honour, we won't let you steal." Thief is thief everywhere. Be careful at ballot boxes, he warned his voters and observers.

Demirtaş called on his party's supporters to become careful against provocations. In the wake of the rally, the racist groups reattacked the HDP supporters. Several people were wounded and hospitalized. The tension is ongoing in the city.
