NEWS DESK (DİHA) - KCK said the murder in Bingöl was perpetrated by counter forces affiliated to JITEM (Gendarmerie Intelligence and Anti-Terror Unit), and that the AKP government was behind all the attacks carried out against the HDP during the election campaign.

The KCK (Kurdistan Communities Union) Executive Council Co-Presidency released a statement on yesterday's armed attack in Bingöl which left Hamdullah Öge, driver of an HDP (Peoples' Democratic Party) election bus, dead.

KCK said the murder was perpetrated by counter forces affiliated to JITEM (Gendarmerie Intelligence and Anti-Terror Unit), and that the AKP government was behind all the attacks carried out against the HDP during the election campaign.

'Best response to attacks should be stronger support for HDP'

“The best response to the attacks in Bingöl, Amed, Muş and everywhere in Kurdistan and Turkey should be providing further support for the HDP”, KCK said, and called on the Kurdish people, Turkey's peoples and democracy forces to take ownership of the HDP and to establish a democracy alliance and barricade around the party.

Stressing that attacks on HDP have remarkably increased in recent days, KCK remarked that the party is being targeted by fascist circles guided by the deep state, and by counter forces guided by the state in Kurdistan where -it underlined- JITEM has once again been put into action.

Recalling that HDP election offices and workers were also being targeted in other parts of Kurdistan and Turkey, KCK offered condolences to the families of the martyred HDP members, and to the Kurdish people, and pledged to crown their memories with a democratic Turkey and free Kurdistan.

'Perpetrator is under the state's assurance'

Pointing out that the armed attack on HDP in Bingöl was carried out after President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan pointed the party as a target during his rally yesterday, KCK said these statements of accusation voiced by Erdoğan and AKP executives served as an instruction for the deep and counter forces under the control of the AKP. "The murder of an HDP member in a place where intense security measures had been taken due to Erdoğan rally reveals that the perpetrator is under the state's assurance."

'They are running not an election but a battle campaign'

Noting that this is being the most tense election process ever as Erdoğan and PM Ahmet Davutoğlu voices insults and accusations against the HDP on a daily basis, KCK said "It is like they are running not an election but a battle campaign. It is obvious that such a government will do no good for Turkey. This much aggression and polarization creates a very dangerous situation for Turkey within a process which makes democratization and resolution of the Kurdish question crucial. It has been understood that the AKP is waging a policy of tension and war both inside and outside", the KCK statement emphasized.

According to KCK, the AKP is becoming more aggressive as they see themselves losing and weakening, and is perpetrating all these attacks with an aim to leave the HDP under the election threshold which would make it gain 70 more deputies in addition.

Stressing that all Kurds, democrat circles and all those with conscience should see this truth, support HDP more strongly and punish this aggressive policy of the AKP government, KCK called on the Kurdish people, Turkey's peoples and democracy forces to take ownership of the HDP and to establish a democracy alliance and barricade around the party.
