Ankara wraps itself up in HDP colours

ANKARA (DİHA) - Thousands of people are flowing to the Peoples' Democratic Party's (HDP) election rally in the capital city Ankara inspite of weather contrariety.

The party has held its Ankara rally today at Kolej Square. Thousands of people came together and participated into the joint rally of peoples at the square. The youngs held a march from Cebeci to Kolej and bore the flags of HDP.

The crowds opened placards and banners supporting the "New Life" manifest of the party in the rally. The residents have emotionalised with the election songs of the HDP as the women put on local Kurdish clothes. Gezi victims and revolutionary youth leaders have been remembered in posters.

The locals have given the message of full support to HDP Ankara deputy candidates. The citizens are often chanting slogans of "Vote HDP", "Long live resistance of Kobanê" and "Long live fraternity of peoples". Flags of YPG, posters of Öcalan and dozens of banners have been opened.

One minute silence was held in memory of all those who lost their lives in the struggle of democracy and freedom, singing Kurdish anthem called "Çerxa Şoreşê".

Deputy candidates made short speeches and saluted the mass. HDP Ankara Provincal Co-chair Semra Demir saluted the metal workers and told about youth resistance.

HDP General Co-chair Figen Yüksekdağ will address to the mass of people.
