HATAY (DİHA) - Thousands of people took part in the Peoples' Democratic Party's (HDP) election rally in Hatay province, at the border of Syria. Speaking in the rally, Tunisian People Front Speaker Hamma Hammami said the HDP was the only and biggest chance of Turkey's peoples to get rid of dictatorial system.

The party has held its Hatay rally today at Uğur Mumcu Square where Gezi victims Abdullah Cömert and Ahmet Atakan were massacred by police. Thousands of people came together and participated into the joint rally of peoples at the square. The youngs at the frontlines danced halays for hours and bore the flags of HDP.

In Hatay, a mosaic city including Kurdish, Turkish, Arabic, Circassian, Armenian and Dom peoples and Sunni, Alevi and Christian beliefs, joined the rally with their own placards and banners. The crowds opened placards and banners supporting the "New Life" manifest of the party in the rally. The residents have emotionalised with the election songs of the HDP.

One minute silence has been held in memory of all those who lost their lives in the struggle of freedom and democracy. The locals have given the message of full support to HDP Hatay deputy candidates. One of the placards reading "Riots have united, hope is growing" aroused interest.

Hammami: HDP is the only chance
