İZMİR (DİHA) - HDP General Co-chair Selahattin Demirtaş over 100.000 people at his party's election rally in Aegean province of Izmir, inviting everybody to support and vote HDP. AKP is trying to bring a regime of dictatorship under the pretext of "Presidential system", Demirtaş said, calling on all people in the country to "stop" AKP government and President Erdoğan.

HDP (Peoples' Democratic Party) General Co-chair Selahattin Demirtaş over 100.000 people at his party's election rally at Gündoğdu Square in Aegean province of Izmir today. The crowds of people danced halays for hours and bore the flags of HDP. The mass often shouted the slogan of "Long live Leader Apo", "Long live fraternity of peoples" and slogans in support of the HDP in the rally.

'HDP is multi-cultural and polyphonic'

Demirtaş took the scene, saying they are going through a historical and crucial process. AKP is a monist sytem, underlined Demirtaş, but the HDP is multi-cultural and polyphonic. "When someone asks about HDP, say him or her HDP is like Turkey. We are taking our power from our discrepancy. The parliament will become like Turkey starting from June 7th. The democracy will be more powerful. So, let's suuport, back and vote HDP," added Demirtaş.

I am calling on everybody to vote HDP for peace and freedom, Demirtaş remarked. "I am proud of this honourable attitude of Izmir - pointing to the square. Everybody must vote HDP against those dark forces. The supporters of peace at this square, you are hope. Hope is not the supporters of dictator," told HDP co-chair.

'If you want to be happy, let you be at HDP'

HDP general co-chair called on the womens, "Women suffer from misery in this country. From now on, if you want to be happy, let you be at the HDP. You know, half of this society is woman. If you do not accept cruelty and injustice against women, then vote for HDP."

'We will continue to live together in this country on June 8th'

In the wake of women, Demirtaş spoke about the situation in the country. He addressed, "These land are neither pole, nor desert. Humanity was born on these lands. These are Anatolian and Mesopotamian lands. Nobody has the right to leave you hunger in these fruitful lands. We can liberate our country through solidarity and fraternity. We will continue to live together in this country on June 8th. They are trying to drag the country into a chaos through leaving the HDP below electoral threshold".

'Everybody will say 'So glad I voted HDP''

Demirtaş called on indecisive and hesitant voters and said, "'I want to vote HDP, but...'. Do not say such a thing anymore. This is not an ordinary election. The program and manifest of the HDP is the most democratic and libertarian one. If the HDP cannot pass the electoral threshold, the AKP government and President Erdoğan will drag the country into a chaos. So, let you vote HDP in order to stop the AKP. You will not become regretful. Everybody will say 'So glad I voted HDP'."

"When AKP officals appear on TV, let's switch off the TV in order to save money," said Demirtaş. He concluded his speech amid slogans and applauses of hundreds thousands of people.
