ISPARTA/IZMIR (DİHA) - Two election offices of the HDP in Isparta and İzmir provinces were attacked last night.

A recently opened election office of the HDP (Peoples' Democratic Party) in Gülistan neighborhood of Isparta province was targeted by unidentified assailants last night. The assailants broke into the election office and messed it up after breaking the windows with stones.

It has been alleged that the policemen on 24-hour guard duty outside the election office didn't intervene nor hindered the assailants as they conducted the attack.

On the other hand, the HDP election office in Karşıyaka district of İzmir was also attacked last night by a fascist group calling themselves "Youth Movement with Black Calpacks (KKGH)".

The assailants wrote threatening insults on the banners hanged around the election office, and "No country for the Kurds, get out" on the ground outside the office.

IHD (Human Rights Association) has released a report regarding the attacks against political parties during this year's election campaign between 23 March and 19 May. According to the IHD report, attacks on political parties have reached the peak during the last two months.

114 attacks were conducted against political parties during the election campaign, 126 of which targeted the HDP, 32 members of which were also subject to torture and ill treatment. 7 attacks were carried out against AKP (Justice and Development Party), 4 against CHP (Republican People's Party) and 1 against MHP (Nationalist Movement Party).
