ERZURUM (DİHA) - Speaking at the HDP's election rally in Karayazi district, DBP General Co-chair Kamuran Yüksek said, "This people will slap you in the face in such a way that you will be stupefied."

The Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) held a meeting in Karayazi district of eastern province of Erzurum, joined by HDP Erzurum deputy candidates, DBP (Democratic Regions Party) General Co-chair Kamuran Yüksek and Karayazi co-mayors.

After one minute respect silence, HDP Erzurum Deputy Candidate Seher Akçınar Bayar condemned the attacks towards the party's headquarters in southern provinces of Adana and Mersin. She remined her party's 40-years struggle and added, "We are struggling in an honorable way for 40 years. We will resume our struggle at polls on June 7th."

'We will defeat thresholds of Evren'

Speaking after, Kamuran Yüksek told about his story of leaving the district, adding: "These are our lands. We want to live freely in these lands. They jailed us, massacred us, but we never intimidated. They tried to carry out mischievously and furtively massacre in Mersin and Adana yesterday. Turkish state banned our language. The state is executing and denying us for years. You will embrace and attain victory at night of June 7th through thid joy. You will defeat thresholds of Evren - pointing to leader of 1980 military coup Kenan Evren".

'This people will slap you in the face!'

This country needs the HDP, Yüksek underlined. "The AKP deemed proper deaths, jails, cruelty to this people along its 13-years ruling. We cannot count your applications of cruelty. Didn't you massacre our people in Roboski? Didn't you support Daesh gangs in Kobanê? Didn't you leave the people of this country hungry? Now, you began to say 'there is no Kurdish question'. This people will slap you in the face on June 7th in such a way that you will be stupefied," concluded Yüksek, calling on all the peoples in the country to support the HDP.

Local artists gave concerts and the crowd of people danced halays in the wake of speech.
