ANKARA (DİHA) - The Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) Ankara Deputy Candidate and Imrali Delegation Member Sırrı Süreyya Önder paid a visit to General Work Union (Genel İş) affiliated to the Confederation of Revolutionary Workers' Unions (DİSK) in the capital city Ankara.

MP Önder evaluated the recent development on the agenda of country in front of the union building. Önder said that the efforts of HDP lawyers were ongoing. "HDP lawyers have applied to the Supreme Election Board (YSK) twice to denounce that President Erdoğan violated the constitution and impartiality of elections in his remarks during the rallies he has recently attended," told Önder.

'Let them say 'we are sending Monitoring Committee to island''

The AKP government is trying to suffocate the resolution process through demagogy, Önder added. "We have agreed with the government on the the Monitoring Committee. The speaker of the government also confirmed this truth inspite of all the discrediting efforts of President Erdoğan," he underlined.

MP Önder resumed his speech, "We do not want Mr. Davutoğlu or Mr. Akdoğan to say, 'The solution process is a process claimed by us'. They should say, 'We are sending the agreed Monitoring Committee to island on that day'. This is an agreement, not behind closed doors. Your government speaker also stated to President 'You are unjust'. They must do the necessity of this. Let the government say we are sending the Monitoring Committee to Imrali Island on that day."

'Our objections to Internal Security Package suffered on May Day'

In the wake of his speech, MP Önder met with the delegation of DİSK consisting of DİSK General Head Kani Beko and Genel İş Union General Head Remzi Çalışkan. Önder took information about the legal enterprises of the DİSK concerning the police attacks and violence on May Day.

"We objected to the Internal Security Package to the end. All of our objections to the Internal Security Package suffered on May Day. The government conjectures that if it make this law, nobody will go out to the streets. It's enough to comprehend this mistake or delusion through observing struggle history of DİSK," stated Önder.

The Confederation of Revolutionary Workers' Unions (DİSK) had previously declared its support for the HDP.
