Önder to Erdoğan: There's a table established 3 months ago
ANKARA (DİHA) - HDP (Peoples' Democratic Party) Imrali delegation will issue a press statement at 11:00 on 30 April at the party headquarters in Ankara regarding the recent situation in the resolution process which Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan is recently attempting to hinder with various remarks.
The spokesperson of the İmrali delegation, Sırrı Süreyya Önder made a short statement before tomorrow's statement to the press.
Recalling the recent remarks of the Turkish President who said “Talking about Kurdish question is discrimination, and the existence of a table around which two parties come together would count to the collapse of the state, Önder said “As the spokesperson of the delegation, I assure you that there is a table in question, and this table was set 3 months ago. Many meetings have been held around this table which hosted people on two sides.”
He pointed out that the historic joint declaration made in Dolmabahçe Palace had also been decided by the two parties sitting at this table.
Önder called the table “Peace and Democratic Resolution Table”, which he commented as one of the most democratic steps taken for the unity, democracy and future of the country while all the systems in the Middle East are collapsing one after the other.
Also commenting on Erdoğan's remark that “HDP has created us problems through illegal ways”, Önder said “The president is telling the truth on a subject. As the HDP delegation for negotiations, we resorted to illegal ways and methods for three times since the beginning of process. We will share all these, and the stage reached in the process and the deadlock being faced today at the press statement we will issue at 11:00 today”.
