Worldwide women to remove borders in Nusaybin!
MARDİN (DİHA) - In Nusaybin, the border town where the World March of Women's international march for women's rights will start on March 6, have completed their preparations to host the thousands of women converging on the town for the vent.
The World March of Women began a series of international actions in 2000, of which this march will be the fourth. The march is starting in Nusaybin district of Mardin, just across the border from the West Kurdistanian city of Qamişlo, to honor the women's revolution in Rojava. The women of Nusaybin, a city of 84,000 in the province of Mardîn, are preparing to host guests in their homes.
'We formed commissions'
Activists of KJA (Congress of Free Women) are going from door to door, street to street, and house to house, to invite the women to the worlwide women rally as the preperations have been completed and routing have been determined for the march. The activists of KJA are handling their leaflets, written in Kurdish, Turkish, Arabic and Syriac, accompanied with a flourish of trumpets. Stands of "Let's build Kobanê, Labour of Woman" will be opened at Mitanni Culture Center on 6 March. A photo exhibition of the photos of dying YPJ fighters will be staged. Nusaybin Co-mayor Sara Kaya said, "We are hosting a historical day on which worldwide women are meeting with the Kurdish women. We formed commissions for this historical day."
Women to render borders meaningless
Kaya put importance that the march would begin at Rojava border and added, "Worlwide women will salute the Rojava revolution. We will render the borders meaningless through this march. We are inviting all the women to join and witness this historical march. We're ready for the march. We will enhance our voice on 6-7 March as we do not want the borders anymore. The borders mean war, death and massacre. Let's come together and lift all these borders."
