Women worldwide to rally for women in Kobanê

DİYARBAKIR (DİHA) - The International Women March, march of 4th action year, will start in Nusaybin at Rojava border, to honor the women's revolution in Rojava. Kongreya Jinen Azad (KJA, Free Women Congress) Diplomacy Commission Member Sultan Şafak says that women get mobilized to welcome the worldwide march.
The World March of Women takes place once every five years. This year, it will start on March 8, World Women's Day, at the border of Rojava and Northern Kurdistan at Nusaybin. he World March of Women, which is kicking off its fourth international action this year across the border from Rojava in Nusaybin, has announced a program of events from March 6 to March 18, starting in Kurdistan, passing through southern and western Turkey and ending in Portugal in October.
The opening of the World March of Women will take place Friday, March 6 at 9 a.m. in Nusaybin, with forums from 10-12 a.m. titled "Democratic Autonomy, Women’s Revolution of Rojava" and "Appropriation of Nature and Ecological Struggles." Between 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. public forums will take place on "Jineoloji and All Forms of Violence Against Women" and "Women's Work" (involving a delegation visiting a refugee camp). At 6 p.m. the program of the day will end with music from Mizgin Tahir.
On March 7, women from the Northern Kurdistan side of the border will come together with those from Cizîre Canton in Rojava at 9 a.m. After the cross-border rally, the group will travel to Mardin, where a march will take place at 4:30 p.m. The evening program at 6 p.m. involves a dance and musical performance.
'International Women March is struggling at four aspects'
Activities and actions will be held in cities like Diyarbakır, Antakya, Antalya, Muğla and Izmir within the program. Kongreya Jinen Azad Diplomacy Commission Member Sultan Şafak says that women get mobilized to welcome the worldwide march. She adds that they are considering this worldwide march crucial as it's the most practical organizational model at international sphere. Şafak underlines, "World Women March gives struggle at four aspects like abduction of nature, criminalization, violence, body and life of women. The struggle line of KJA is overlapping this."
