YPJ fighter Laleş: We'll liberate all Kurdistan

KOBANÊ (DİHA) - “Our goal is to liberate all four parts of Kurdistan, not just Kobanê”, says YPJ fighter Gulbihar Laleş.
Gulbihar Laleş, a YPJ fighter we spoke to in the village of Xêrbîsan 30 kilometres from Kobanê city, where operations are continuing to liberate the entire canton, said: “Our goal is to liberate all four parts of Kurdistan, not just Kobanê.” Following the liberation of Kobanê city, YPG/YPJ fighters are continuing to liberate villages to the south, east and west of the city. YPG/YPJ fighters in the village of Xêrbîsan said that within a short time the whole of the canton of Kobanê would be cleansed of ISIS gangs.
‘We are advancing rapidly’
When we reached the village of Xêrbîsan 30 kilometres to the east of the city, we encountered YPG fighters doing the ‘halay’ folk dance. Smoke was rising from fires lit by the fighters in several places in the village. Some of the houses we entered in the village had been looted by the ISIS gangs and there were slogans written on the walls. YPJ fighter Gulbihar Laleş said ISIS had targeted all Kurds, adding: “We are making rapid progress.”
‘We will liberate all four parts of Kurdistan’
Laleş said ISIS had carried out looting everywhere, adding that their operations were continuing and that the entire territory of Kobanê would be liberated. Laleş said: “Our goal is to liberate all four parts of Kurdistan, not just Kobanê.” YPG fighter Kejvan Zerdeşt, who has been involved in the resistance in Kobanê since the beginning, said the gangs were in disarray. He said that in every village that was liberated defence units were being put in place, and that soon Kobanê would be entirely liberated.
