Thousands league together in Shengal solidarity concert
İSTANBUL (DİHA) - The massive concert entitled "Solidarity with Shengal (Sinjar) and Rojava" was held by the Mesopotamia Culture Center (MKM) in Istanbul Bostancı Demo Center with the participation of famous artists like İlkay Akkaya, Servet Kocakaya, Erdoğan Emir and Metin Kahraman.
The placards reading "Do not remain silent for Shengal and Rojava" and poster of PKK (Kurdistan Workers' Party) Leader Abdullah Öcalan were hung to the hall. Thousands of people often chanted the slogans of "Martyrs of revolution are immortal", "Rojava people is not alone", "Shengal people is not alone", "Long live resistance of Rojava" and "Long live Leader Apo".
One minute silence was held in memory of all those who lost their lives in the resistance of Shengal and Rojava. Şahiya Stranan group, MKM artists Rugeş Kırıcı, Abdal Haluk Tolga İlhan, Ahmet Aslan, Ayşenur Kolivar, Erdoğan Emir, Erol Berxwedan, Ferhat Tunç, Gülbahar Kavcu, Hasan Ali, İlkay Akkaya, Metin Kahraman, Nesimi Aday, Pınar Aydınlar, Rugeş Kırıcı, Serhat Çarneva, Servet Kocakaya, Sezai Sarıoğlu, Vardiya, Yaşar Kurt and Yusuf Roman took scene and song for Shengal and Rojava.
