Songs to be sung against insensitivity and genocide

NEWS CENTER (DİHA) - Artists of the MKM will hold a concert for Ezidi refugees. The artists emphasized: "We are going to sing our songs firstly against insensitivity secondly genocide."

Thousands of Ezidis had to abandon their lands when they were exposed to barbaric attacks of Islamic State of Iraq and Sham (ISIS) gangs in Şengal (Sinjar). Many of Ezidis came to Turkey and took shelter in the sites of municipality in Şırnak Mardin and Diyarbakır. The Mesopotamia Culture Center (MKM) is holding a massive concert to bring the problems of Ezidi community on the agenda. Dozens of artists will give concert in Bostanci Show Center in Istanbul on 14 September. Those artists spoke to DİHA.

Tunç: I'll sing my songs against insensitivity

Artist Ferhat Tunç defined the crisis as the tragedy of the ongoing century and said: "There are something to do for everybody for Ezidis. The genocide towards Ezidi community must awake emotions within heart of everybody who says hismself or herself human being. This activity is call for sensitivity and an effort to eradicate insensitivity. I'll sing my songs against insensitivity at this concert."

Kurt: It's honorary for me to become in this concert

Yaşar Kurt is also one of the artists joining in the solidarity concert of MKM just like Tunç. The ferocity suffered by the Ezidis is a dreadful incident. Ezidis have been exposed to assaults along the history. However, they are exposed to massacre in front of the eyes of all the international community. When MKM proposed the concert, I accepted immediately. It's honorary for me to become in this concert."

Emir: International public opinion must move on

Artist Erdoğan Emir condemned the inhumane applications towards the Ezidi Kurdish people and underlined: "The important thing is that the international public opinion must move on, as well. The political communities in the Middle East are tried to be eradicted. It's honorary for me to become in this concert."
