Accident at worksite for third airport: One worker dies
ISTANBUL (DİHA) - A bulldozer fell into a pond at the worksite in Istanbul from which soil is being used in the construction of the city’s third airport.
The vehicle’s operator has been reported missing after the bulldozer fell into the water at the construction site in Eyüp’s village of Akpınar. Rescue teams and paramedics were immediately dispatched to the site. Later, it has been stated that the operator of the mascine lost his life. The press has not been allowed on the site, as gendarmerie forces and officials from the construction company have prevented access.
