Beko: We'll ask the account of Soma calamity
MANİSA (DİHA) - Hundreds of miners and union labourers came together in front of Dev Maden-Sen Soma Branch bound to the Confederation Recolutionist Workers Unions (DİSK) and marched to miner memorial.
Placards were carried and slogans were chanted along the march. DİSK General Head Kani Beko and DİSK General Secretarian Arzu Çerkezoğlu also participated into the march. Following the march, a garland was left at the miner memorial. The mass of people marched also up to Soma District Governorate. Speaking in front of the District Governorate, DİSK General Head Kani Beko said that 3 and a half millions of people were emmigrated forcibly here.
Kani Beko stated that massacre of workers occur with these misuers. Beko also criticised the subcontractor system. He added: "We will struggle until end whatever it will be including resistance, fight. This is a murder. We will not remain silence towards this calamity. We'll ask the account of Soma calamity."
