First Art and Culture Academy of Serêkaniyê opened
SERÊKANIYÊ (DİHA) - The first Culture and Art Academy of Serêkaniyê was opened today and 25 members of Movement of Culture and Art are going to be trained in that academy.
The academy was named as Martyr Welat Academy of Art and Culture and just started the first period of training of 25 students. Aldar Xelîl, a member of TEV-DEM (Movement of Democratic Society) delivered a speech in the opening meeting and stated that "It is a necessary that everybody should see importance of education and think about the ways that she or he can contribute to the society's development. I wish all of you success."
The training session is going to last for one month and the students will have courses on importance of education, women's history, Kurdish people's history, art and ethics, system of democratic nation, system of ethics and central modernity.
