DIYARBAKIR (DIHA) - Ömer Sabancı, Chairman of the Turkish Industrialists' and Businessmen's Association (TUSIAD), said the most significant issue on Turkey's agenda is the access to the European Union (EU) stating probably early elections do a great harm to the Turkish economy

TUSIAD Chief Executive Ömer Sabancı, who came to the southeastern city of Diyarbakır with the collaboration of TURKONFED's (The Turkish Entrepreneur and Business World Confederation) member-associations, started his Diyarbakır visit calling Diyarbakir Association of Industrialists and Businessmen (DISIAD) Chairman Şeyhmus Akbaş.

Pointing out that likely early elections would do a great harm to the Turkish economy, Sabancı said the most significant issue on Turkey's agenda is the EU entry, on which the governmental officials has hitherto held statements. To question what they will do in the case of Fehriye Erdal, accused of killing Özdemir Sabancı, if the court adopted non-jurisdiction decree, Sabancı said "This matter is to be appraised when it is right time".
