Police take 14 students into custody in Ankara 2015-07-06 14:26:57 ANKARA (DİHA) - Turkish police have detained 14 students in the capital city of Ankara. A group of Revolutionary High Schollers (Dev-Lis) supporters hung their placards in Ankara Yüksel Avenue this morning. Police wanted to seize the placards as they were "unauthorised". The students responded to police they would not lift their placards reading "Dev-Lis". Police seized the placards and attacked the students. Some of the students were beaten by police during fierce intervention. Students named Barış Manday, Tolha Pınar, Evsen Çoraklı, Türkü Yılmaz, Esen Şahin, Deniz Özdemir, Cenk Çınar, Mert Yalçınkaya, Deniz Türkolğu, Umut Kahramanezber, Kurtuluş Akçelik and Selim Çatal have been taken into custody by police.
