40 thousands bid farewell to YPG fighter Kahraman 2015-07-06 10:15:18 HAKKARİ (DİHA) - Forty thousands of people bid farewell to YPG fighter Rojhat Kahraman (Tekoşer Qehreman) in Hakkari. The body of the YPG (People's Protection Units) fighter Rojhat Kahraman (Tekoşer Qehreman), lost his life in the clash with Daesh gangs in Rojava, was laid to rest by tens of thousands of people in Hakkari. About 40.000 people including Party of Democratic Regions (DBP) and Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) executives, HDP Hakkari deputies Selma Irmak, Nihat Akdoğan and Abdullah Zeydan, co-mayors and activists of Peace Mothers Assembly joined the funeral ceremony. The shopkeepers closed their shops and joined the funeral ceremony. The flags of YPG, KCK, and posters of PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan and YPG fighter Kahraman were carried in the march towards the cemetery. The crowd frequently chanted "Long live resistance of YPG/YPJ", and "Martyrs are immortal" along the massive march to Serê Solan Cemetery. One minute silence was held in memory of all those who lost their lives in the struggle of freedom and democracy. The Kurdish national march "Çerxa Şoreşê" was sung. DBP Provincal Co-chair Musa Çiftçi said that the Daesh gangs supported by the AKP was attacking at the Kurdish people.
