Bodies of MLKP and YPG/YPJ brought to Silopi 2015-06-25 21:36:27 ŞIRNAK (DİHA) - Bodies of 5 MLKP, YPG and YPJ fighters have been taken at Habur Border Gate and brought to Silopi district. Bodies of YPJ fighters Arife Ünvar (nom de guerre Hêlîn Bagok), Aysel Engin (nom de guerre Gulan Hekarî), YPG fighters Esir Zan (nom de guerre Berxwedan Hezex), Tayfur Karay (nom de guerre Hogir Civyan) and MLKP and Internation Freedom Brigade fighter Halil Aksakal (nom de guerre Mazlum Aktaş) were met by a crowd of people at the border and brought to Silopi district of Şırnak. The fighters lost their lives during cleansing operations against Daesh gangs in West Kurdistan, Rojava. Families and members of MEYA-DER, an organization for solidarity with those lost in war in Mesopotamia, DBP (Democratic Regions Party) co-mayors and HDP (Peoples' Democratic Party) deputies and officials came to Habur Border Gate and received the bodies. A massive crowd met the bodies and carried flags of PKK, YPG, and YPJ, holding a march in memory of the fighters in front of the hospital for autopsy. The locals shouted the slogans of "Martyrs never die", "Long live YPG/YPJ resistance" and "Long live President Apo". After autopsy procedures, the bodies of fighters will be laid to rest in their homelands. (nt)
