Syrian Minister: We're ready to discuss autonomy for Rojava 2015-04-20 11:55:05 NEWS CENTER (DİHA) - The Syrian government has taken a step regarding autonomy for Rojava. As the civil war continues in its fourth year, the Minister for the “National Reconciliation Ministry” which was set up to develop dialogue between the government and opposition groups has said they would negotiate autonomy for Rojava. The Minister Ali Haydar said they were “prepared to discuss autonomy” for Western Kurdistan, Rojava. Adding that they found the existence of Kurdish parties in Rojava normal Haydar said, “Kurdish flags in Syria aren’t a problem for us.” Commenting on his meeting with Kurdish representatives in Amûde last month Ali Haydar said, “Our aim is to end the disunity between the Syrian government and people of the region and form deeper and wider ties.” (nt)
