Viyan Amara Academy improves its projects 2014-03-10 11:28:27 NEWS CENTER (DİHA) - Viyan Amara Academy of Research on Kurdish Language and Education that was founded by Kurdish Language Institution on 29 November 2013 for improvement of education in Kurdish language. The academy has been wokring with seven committes which are: 1. Grammer Committe that has seven members who work on research projects of Kurdish grammer. 2. Oral and Written Literature Committe that has five members who work on the both oral and written traditions of Kurdish language used in the Cantons. 3. Translation Committee that has four members who translate books from English, French and Arabic into Kurdish (Kurmancî dialect). 4. Education committee that works on the preperations for Kurdish education to be offered in the universities. 5. Archive Committee that has two members and collects data and documents for archive. 6. Editing Committe that has five members. 7. Committe for Training Teachers who will give courses in Kurdish in all levels. The Academy started its first period of education in last month and 22 students attended the courses related to language, literature, geography, history, democratic autonomy, democratic nation and reality of PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan's life and struggle. The academy has also the first library of the city Kobanê and there are around 1000 books. (nt)
